All members of the MND community are invited to attend the Day of Hope and Remembrance.

This special day is an opportunity for those living with MND and their families to come together and unite in their shared experience as they journey through an MND diagnosis.

We invite the MND workforce, across the health system, to take a moment to reflect on their ongoing commitment to good quality care for people living with MND.

It is also an important day for the families and friends of people who have died from MND to join in a moment of remembrance to celebrate the lives of the loved ones they have lost to the disease.

Together we will light a candle in hope for a future without MND and as a symbol of encouragement to researchers in their quest for a cure.

There will be a short ceremony with guest speakers followed by an informal afternoon tea where you can connect with other members of the MND community.

March of Faces: Submit a photo for display

An important part of this event is a photographic display of people with MND.

If you are a person living with MND you can submit a photo of yourself, or one of you with your family or friends. Photos can be submitted in remembrance.

Photos submitted become part of Australia’s March of Faces. Photos submitted for this event will form a digital display. If you have submitted a photo in the past, it will also be displayed at the event.

Find out more about Australia’s March of Faces and complete the consent form to participate.

Guest Speaker: Professor Steve Vucic

Professor Vucic is a clinical academic, translational researcher and professor of neurology at the University of Sydney. Professor Vucic is the Northcott Chair of Neurology and Director of Brain and Nerve Research Center (Concord Clinical School, Concord Hospital, University of Sydney).
