Are you newly diagnosed with motor neurone disease? Caring for someone with MND? Would you like to ask an expert panel your questions about MND? MND NSW conducts regular education and information sessions for people living with motor neurone disease, family members, carers and friends.

MND education and information sessions are held throughout the year in Sydney and other areas of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. There is usually no charge to attend an MND NSW education or information session if you are a person living with motor neurone disease, a family member, carer or friend. However, bookings are essential.

Living Well with MND is a one-day program providing a range of strategies to live well with MND and to maintain independence. It also provides the opportunity for you to have your questions answered by a range of health professionals with expertise in MND, and to meet others who understand what it is like to live with MND.

This two-day residential carers workshop focuses on the physical and emotional aspects of caring for a person with motor neurone disease.

The Care for Carers program is a four-day program, held one day a week for four weeks. It explores the physical and emotional aspects of caring so you are better able to look after a person with motor neurone disease at home, while still taking care of yourself.

Learn Now Live Well is a two-day educational program which covers living well with motor neurone disease and the services available in people living with motor neurone disease.

MND support groups and coffee mornings provide the opportunity for people living with MND to meet together regularly. Often, a guest speaker is invited to the meeting. Guest speakers include health workers who know about motor neurone disease or a person with expertise in a topic that may be of interest to the people at the meeting.
