We want to say a huge thank you to the members of the Vow Social Golf Club who held a charity golf day and luncheon with auction in memory of their friends Gary Reid and Alan Whitehead.

An amazing $4,189.67 was raised for MND NSW and we couldn’t be more thankful to everyone involved. What an amazing result and a fantastic way to remember friends.

MND NSW staff member, Nicole, opens up about her experiences with MND

I am quite often asked, ‘How can you work where you are?’ and always my reply is ‘It’s the most rewarding job I have ever done in my life.’ And I’ve done quite a few.

I would like to thank everyone for getting behind MND Week by sending in your photos and quotes as part of our MND Week celebrations. The sense of community that they generated was both moving and humbling to watch as each image and story was revealed. We are a strong community and together we can and do make a difference in each other’s lives.

So what is happening with education for people living with MND, their family and friends and for the service providers now that our face to face sessions are suspended?

With changing times we now have an opportunity to deliver our education programs in a different way and has opened the way for innovation in ensuring everyone still can access information when they want it. We are now working to have many of our education and carer programs available as on demand online versions.
