About Walk to d ‘Feet MND

With nine locations across NSW and the ACT, the Walks were created to raise funds to support people living with MND and to raise funds and awareness for research.

Thousands of families and friends along with their four-legged friends have taken part. The day consists of raffles, food, fun and of course, the walk! Plus some locations have music and entertainment after the Walk. Have a look at the individual Walk pages for further details.

Money raised through donations and online fundraising helps support people living with MND and their families, and provide vital funds for research.

On the day information

Participants who have already registered online

All pre-registered participants who have registered with a T-Shirt will receive a wrist band in the mail prior to the event date. • be on a leash at all times
  • wear a collar with an identification tag

  • be reasonably fit and used to walking distances. If this is your first Walk or your dog is not used to exercise, please ensure you exercise your dog regularly in the lead up to the event and prepare them for the walk. While most paths along the walk route are reasonably flat, they can be quite strenuous on a dog that is not exercised regularly
  • be in reasonable health. If you are unsure whether your dog will be able to complete the walk, please seek veterinary advice prior to joining us on the day. If your dog has had a recent operation, please also seek veterinary advice. Bring pet sunscreen if your dog has a fair/white coat.

Volunteering

Without the help of our wonderful volunteers, it would not be possible for MND NSW to hold such great community events.

The ideal volunteer is someone who is over 16 years of age and doesn’t mind an early start! All volunteers need to have a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal. There is variety of roles on offer to suit all fitness levels. The ideal volunteer will also be a happy and encouraging person, with the ability to work well under pressure and cope with large crowds of eager participants.

I want to volunteer at a Walk to d'Feet MND.
