Tennis Charity Day

On Sunday 14 January, the Manly Lawn Tennis Club and The CorriLee Foundation hosted the Phil Dent and John Alexander MP Tennis Charity Day for MND NSW remembering the Australian tennis professional Peter Doohan. A tennis pro-am was played in the morning followed by a wonderful lunch presentation for about 80 people. Tennis playing guests included former pro's John Alexander and Phil Dent, 2 times French Open winner Lesley Bowrey, and 5 time Olympian Alex Watson.

Former ABC radio host and sports commentator Deb Spillane was the MC, and radio announcer and tennis/sport historian Alan Jones conducted interviews with John Alexander and Phil Dent. The event raised over $12,000 and special thanks goes to Carmella and Scott Blackburn of MLTC, the magnificent MND and Manly Lawn volunteers including our volunteer photographer Tim Austin who has provided us with some great photographs.
