Ann’s Story

Ann, from Botany Access, has been raising funds for MND for many years, after her husband John was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2002.

The COVID-19 pandemic has literally disrupted every aspect of life, including how we grieve.

Researchers at the University of Technology Sydney invite you to take part in a research study that explores the experiences and support needs of people bereaved from any cause during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The taxi transport subsidy scheme (TTSS) supports residents who are unable to use public transport because of a severe and permanent disability.

If you're eligible, you could receive a subsidy of 50% of a taxi fare, up to a maximum subsidy of $60 and only pay the remaining fare. This includes travel in wheelchair accessible taxis.

Dianne’s Story 

In April 2020, the global pandemic had just hit and in the middle of a global lockdown, Dianne’s twin brother Paul was diagnosed with MND. The whole family was devastated.
